How do I pick and pack an order?

Common use cases

  • Picker: Start the handling activity and confirm the products that need to be picked.
  • Packer: Add picked products to a package with the right quantities and packaging type.
  • Warehouse lead: Confirm the order is ready for the shipping-label or external-label step.

When to use this

  • The order is visible in Order Dashboard or on the order detail page.
  • You need to complete the order through Pick/Pack.
  • The products, quantities, and packaging are ready to confirm.

When not to use this

  • You only need to search for an order.
  • You are creating a transfer order or purchase order.
  • You need help with printer setup, carrier billing, or scanner hardware setup.

Before you start

  • Confirm you are working on the correct order.
  • Have the products physically ready to scan or confirm.
  • Know whether your team is using a Logentic-generated label or an external label.

Steps

  1. Open the order you want to fulfill.
  2. In the order detail action area, select Pick/Pack.
  3. On the Pick/Pack screen, review the order header:
    • Handling order #
    • Order ID
    • Ecommerce Order ID
    • Recipient
  4. Select Start Activity.
  5. In Scan products, scan each product or use Manual if your workflow allows manual confirmation.
  6. Confirm the product list shows the expected items with green check marks.
  7. In Add products to package(s), review Pending Package.
  8. Select each product and enter the quantity that belongs in the package.
  9. Select the packaging type from Choose a packaging type.
  10. Select Validate Package.
  11. Review the Print label panel.
  12. If carrier rates are shown, choose the correct rate and select Submit.
  13. If you are using an external label, follow the external-label workflow instead.
  14. Confirm the package shows a completed state.
  15. Select PICK/PACK NEXT when you are ready to continue with the next order.
