When generating picking routes, you may occasionally encounter the message "There is already a picking route being generated. Please wait and retry." Here's what you need to know about this situation and how to handle it.
Common Causes
A route is currently being generated and hasn't completed yet
A previous route generation attempt was interrupted (e.g., by refreshing the page or navigating away)
System deployment or updates are in progress
What to Do
Wait for normal generation to complete: Route generation typically takes less than a minute under normal conditions. If it's taking longer, continue to the next steps.
Check if generation is stuck: If the message persists for more than 5 minutes:
Try logging out and logging back in
Attempt to generate the route from a different account
Contact support: If the issue persists for more than 15 minutes, contact support for assistance in clearing the stuck route generation.
Best Practices
Avoid refreshing the page or navigating away while routes are being generated
Wait for confirmation that the current route generation is complete before attempting to generate another route
If using the alphanumerical route generation feature, ensure you're using the correct dashboard (Create Route vs. Pick Next)
