Manual Product Sync: Troubleshooting and Best Practices
Last updated: July 14, 2025
This article explains how product syncing works between Shopify and the system, common issues you may encounter, and best practices for managing product updates.
How Product Syncing Works
Currently, product syncing operates in the following way:
Initial sync captures product details when first importing from Shopify
Manual sync is required to update product changes made in Shopify
Large catalogs (1000+ SKUs) may take longer to complete syncing
Common Issues
"Orders Still Syncing" Error
If you receive an "Orders Still Syncing" message when attempting to sync products:
Wait 15-30 minutes and try again
For large catalogs (5000+ SKUs), sync times may be longer
If the issue persists for more than an hour, contact support
Best Practices
To ensure smooth product syncing:
Allow sufficient time for syncs to complete, especially with large catalogs
Perform syncs during off-peak hours when possible
For critical updates, contact support if sync appears stuck
Note: The system currently requires manual syncing to update product changes. A future update implementing Product Webhooks will enable instant syncing of product changes from Shopify.
Product Attribute Updates
Some product attributes, such as Country of Origin (COO), are only synchronized during the initial product import. For bulk updates to these fields after initial import:
Use the Bulk Editor in the Inventory section
Filter products by relevant criteria
Update up to 200 SKUs at a time
